NEW RESTRICTIONS ON CLUB ACTIVITIES

The following restrictions are now part of the Club’s Conditional Use Permit. Obeying them is mandatory:

THE CLUB WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL SHOOTING ON THE EQUINOXES AND SOLSTICES. This restriction is part of a Memorandum of Understanding that has been signed by the Club, USFS, Chumash and the State Office of Historic Preservation. Activities such as work parties are permitted but discharging all firearms is strictly prohibited.

MODERN RIFLES 50 CALIBER AND LARGER BANNED. The USFS has banned discharging all modern rifles 50 cal. BMG and larger at the Club. This was done for safety reasons. The restriction is on modern high velocity cartridges, and does not apply to handguns, muzzleloading firearms, or rifles chambered for one of the early black powder cartridges.
