Where are the classes held??
Unless other arrangements are made,
the final exam and lecture and field test are held at the Trap Range and Club House at WCGC.
You can do the online portion anywhere you have internet access.

What do I need to do to take the Internet-based, online, home-study class??
The online, home-study classes are offered as a special courtesy
to CURRENT MEMBERS of WCGC.
If you aren't already a member, then join first.

Once you are a MEMBER, here is what you need to do:
1) You must successfully complete the online class.
There are two links to the online classes below.
2) After you have successfully completed the online class,
send an Email to Phil Kryder
(***DO NOT CALL*** calls will not be returned***)
Include in the email:
a) Your Name
b) Your WCGC membership number.
c) Your Telephone Number
d) Your Address.
e) Your Date of birth.
f)  If you are under age 18, then include your parent or guardian's Phone number and email address.
3) I will contact you and together, we will arrange a mutually agreeable time
to complete the 4 hour final lecture and final written exam.
***For students under 18 years of age,
A Parent or Guardian MUST be present when taking the final test.****

I'm not a member of the WCGC.
And, for one reason or another, I don't want to join?

First off, please reconsider and join WCGC.
Our fees are very reasonable, especially for students and Junior shooters.
We're willing to work with you to try to fit your schedule.
But, if you are in a big hurry, click here to check with the DFG for other locations.

??Where can I find the Internet-based, online, home-study classes??

You must complete one of the above online classes,
before you can take the final exam.
The free class seems to be just as good as the other one.

??How much does the Internet-based, online, home-study class cost?
There are TWO parts to the fees:
1) The providers may charge a small fee to take the online part of the class.
2) We charge $10 for our part to cover our expenses.

??What happens at the 4 hour final lecture and test??
1) We will review your documentation from the online class.
You must bring your documentation that shows you have successfully completed the class.
2) You will get an opportunity to review any questions that you may not have answered in the online class.
3) We will VERY BRIEFLY review some of the most important ethical and safety issues.
4) We will take a field test including shooting and a simulated hunt.
5) You will view a 30 minute video provided by DFG.
6) You will take a TIMED (one-hour) written test.
7) You MUST pass the test with a score of 80 or higher.
8) After you successfully pass the test, we will issue you a certificate.
